Lisa Hunsaker has always been interested in the human form and movement. She has been a dancer since the age of four and has studied jazz, modern dance, and ballet. Lisa studied at The Ohio State University, where she originally planned on continuing her dance studies, but once there chose to major in Hospitality Management. Lisa excelled in her major, but felt the void of not dancing for the first time in 15 years, so she turned to group exercise classes. Once exercising in a group setting, Lisa decided that she enjoyed leading these classes and became a certified group exercise instructor.
Lisa began teaching step classes on evenings and weekends and soon expanded her class curriculum to also include muscle conditioning, cardio kickboxing, hi-low aerobics, pre and post natal exercise, Pilates, and core conditioning classes. Her professional career has taken her to Seattle where she had the privilege of teaching for Kari Anderson, an internationally known fitness instructor at her Pro-Robic Conditioning Clubs. Lisa expanded her fitness career to include Personal Training and Pilates.
Lisa enjoys working with people on a one-on-one basis. She gets a great deal of satisfaction from being a part of the change that occurs when a person is committed to living a healthier, more fit existence and seeing them become better fit and most importantly more health conscious. When people achieve their fitness goals, not only do they look better and feel better, but also they have a renewed confidence in themselves.
Lisa is a certified American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Health and Fitness Instructor, Power Pilates Mat Certified, ACE Group Exercise Instructor, and Moms in Motion Pre/Post Natal Certified.
